SKY-I – 40 amp ESC with Switching BEC.
What’s the difference between SKY-I and SWL?
Both ESCs are made by the FVT (Favourite) brand name.
The SKY-I ESCs are the budget line which have the control and power on one side of the circuit board.
The Swallow (SWL) line of ESCs have the control and power on two sides of the circuit board and a larger heat sync for better heat dissipation. The MOSFETs on the SWL line are also higher quality.
Current: 40 amps
Burst current: 55 amps

– Multiple motor timing choices. Compatible with most brushless motors on the market for fixed wing and helicopter.
– Over-heat protection
– Throttle signal loss protection
– Low voltage cut-off protection
– Throttle range setting and multiple accelerations start up choices.
– If the position of the throttle stick is inadequate when power on, the motor will not start and emit “beep-beep” continuous warnings.
Battery connector and bullet connectors sold separately HERE.
There is no battery connector or bullet connectors with this ESC. You can choose to solder bullet connectors or solder the ESC wires directly to the motor. If the motor needs to be reversed, this can be done in the settings menu with a programing card or using the throttle settings menu system as described in the manual.
The following settings are default and can be changed using a programing card or using Throttle Range settings as described in the manual provided with the ESC.
1) Brake: OFF
2) Battery type: LIPO
3) Low voltage cutoff: Reduce Power
4) Cutoff voltage threshold: Medium (3.0vdc)
5) Motor timing: Medium
6) Startup Acceleration: Soft Acceleration
7) Flying Mode: Fixed Wing
8) Motor Rotation: Forward
9) Used to reset ESC back to Factory defaults
